These FAQs have answers to common questions about the online reservation process. You will receive an email confirmation of all bookings.

  • How do I sign up for a single in-person class?
    o Scroll down this page and click the "BOOK" button next to the type of class you wish take (for example, Taiji). A calendar will appear.
    o Click any bold date on the calendar to show the class times that day.
    o Click the class time you want, then click "Finish & Pay."

    Is there an easy way to sign up for a weekly class for more than one week at a time?
    o Yes! Click on the class time you want, then click "Recurring." This reserves a spot for you in all the posted sessions of a class that meets on a given day of the week at a given time.
    o If you want to take some but not all of those weekly classes, you will have a chance to delete any particular classes you cannot attend after you click "Recurring."

    What if I'm interested in Individualized Instruction with Master Hiromi?

  • When you purchase a class or class package, you will be offered an opportunity to create an account with Acuity during checkout. Creating this account is completely optional but highly recommended.

    With an account, you can easily:
    o Check what upcoming classes you have scheduled
    o See how many classes are left in a package
    o See when your package expires
    o Keep track of your package code
    o Avoid double-booking classes by mistake

    It's best to use the same name when you set up an account and sign up for classes. If you sometimes use "Frank" and sometimes use "Francisco," for example, the system may think you are two different people and you won't see all of your classes!

  • After I buy a package, do I still need to sign up for classes?
    o Yes, definitely! After paying for a package, you still need to sign up for every class session you wish to take. Slots for each class are limited and reserved to make sure everyone gets personal attention and to help keep everyone safe.

    Do I have to sign up for all the classes in my package right away?
    o You can book one class at a time, a few classes at a time, or all 8 classes at once. After purchase, come back to this page and click the "Redeem Coupon, Package, or Gift Certificate" button to start signing up.
    o An easy way to keep track of used and unused classes is to create an account when that option is offered during checkout.

    How long do I have to sign up for the classes in my package?
    o You have 62 days from the time of purchase to schedule all the classes in your package. After that, your package code expires.
    o The dates of the classes themselves can fall outside the 62-day scheduling window.

    How can I tell how many classes are left in my package?
    o Create an account with Acuity when that option is offered during checkout. Then log in to your account on to see how many classes are left. The log-in link is located in the top right-hand corner of the big white square lower down on this page where you book classes.
    o If you do not wish to create an account, that's fine, but the automated system will not be able to tell you how many classes you have left.

    What do I do if I can't find my package code?
    o Your package code appears on the confirmation emailed to you when you purchased the package. By setting up an account with Acuity during checkout (optional), you will also be able to log into your account on the booking page to see your active package codes.
    o If you are still having trouble locating your package code, please contact secretary@charlottesvilletaichi.org for assistance.

    Can classes purchased as part of a package be rescheduled?
    o Yes! As long as your package code has not expired, you can reschedule classes that are part of a package just like classes purchased individually.

  • What should I do to reschedule a class?
    o Click the "Reschedule" button in the confirmation email you received when you booked your class. If you can't find that email, please contact secretary@charlottesvilletaichi.org for assistance.

    How long do I have to reschedule before the beginning of a class?
    o You have until 24 hours before a class begins to reschedule. After that, if you cannot make it to class, you will lose the fee for that class. This policy helps make limited class slots available to others.
    o COVID exception: If you test positive for COVID within the 24-hour rescheduling window, please stay home and let your instructor know as soon as possible. Then email secretary@charlottesvilletaichi.org for assistance to reschedule your class.

    Is it possible to substitute a Taiji class for a Xing Yi class when rescheduling, or vice versa?
    o Sorry, classes cannot be rescheduled across class types.

    Can I cancel a class instead of rescheduling?
    o It is not possible to cancel classes you paid for individually, but you can reschedule them multiple times if necessary.
    o Classes paid for using an 8-class package can be canceled by contacting secretary@charlottesvilletaichi.org.

  • New Student First Class Free (On the Checkout page, click "Package, gift, or coupon code" and enter FIRST-FREE)
    10% 8-Class Package Discount (Scroll down this page to purchase the package)
    10% Family Discount for 2 members taking in-person classes (On the Checkout page, click "Package, gift, or coupon code" and enter FAMILY2 when you book a class. Each person in the family does the same thing when they book classes.)
    15% Family Discount for 3+ members taking in-person classes (On the Checkout page, click "Package, gift, or coupon code" and enter FAMILY3 when you book a class. Each person in the family does the same thing when they book classes.)

  • Class fees are nonrefundable, but you can reschedule your classes up to 24 hours before a class begins. See CTCC's Payment & Refund Policies for more details, including the COVID exception to 24-hour cancelation, and to learn what happens if CTCC has to cancel a class due to inclement weather.
